3/25/24 Just had a great Palm Sunday yesterday at my church and it’s hard to believe that Easter is next weekend. With that approaching spring is right around the corner, just looking at all the beautiful daffodils that are coming up and the green lawns let’s me even more ready for spring weather.I think it’s going to be a beautiful summer this year and I’m looking forward to it. I’m also looking forward to going to church this upcoming Sunday to celebrate Easter Sunday with my niece and her fiance. 3/4/24 Hello everybody this is Bigg Mike and I am so glad to be here playing great oldies for you on Cool Oldies 1450 THU. And here we are in the first week of March already and spring is getting closer and closer, I know I can’t wait for it to arrive. I love the springtime weather and I hope you do too. This nice weather means I can get out and do more fun stuff with my son, which is one of my favorite things to do. And plus we can finally put away all of our snow gear, like shovels, the ice melt, winter jackets, etc. and everything else related to removing snow and staying warm. 2/19/24 Are we ever going to get rid of any of this snow I mean I’m ready to put my shovel away but yet every time I turn around we get more snow, I think that groundhog lied to us this year? Anyhow I had a great weekend with my son as we went over to Farmers Pennsylvania to an awesome flea market over there, I mean they have got like three big buildings of great stuff. We had a great time as we enjoyed some great food at an Amish restaurant while we were there. My son and I just had an awesome weekend exploring the area. You definitely should make plans to try and check things out in our tristate area you never know what you’re going to find, I mean we’ve got a lot of great history, a lot of great shops, plus many great restaurants and all you have to do is just get out there and take an adventure, just take a trip and see what you can find. Don’t know what I’m going to do this weekend but it’s up in the air as my son and I love doing things together. I love my son Joshua so much,he is my best friend and we try to do a lot of fun things together. So we might go up to Winchester this weekend to the Apple Blossom Mall over there, you never know. I guess you’ll just have to wait and find out. In the meantime make sure you keep it right here for all of the best music from the 50’s, 60’s and ’70’s
2/5/24 Looks like we might be in store for an early spring, which I’ll take anytime. Looking forward this week to finally start cleaning up my yard after the winter we’ve had so far. Kinda find it hard to believe that we’re going to hearing lawnmowers soon lol. Anyhow, check me out this week as we get ready for an awesome Beatles weekend. I’ll have all kinds of little tidbits and music by the guys from Liverpool.
1/29/24 What an interesting weekend I had with my wonderful son in Gettysburg. We visited many of the shops, museums and battlefield areas. The weather was beautiful and made for a fun time with him. Hopefully the weather will be good for the next few days and with Groundhog Day approaching maybe winter is behind us, guess we’ll have to wait and see. With this roller coaster ride of a winter we have been experiencing in this area, I am wondering if Phil will see his shadow or not? Hmmm guess we’ll have to wait and see on Groundhog Day which is quickly approaching. But in the meantime, tune in weeknights after Fentsy for some great music starting at 6pm and let’s have fun together. Because when the stars are out they are on your radio too, right here on Cool Oldies 1450 WTHU.
