COMMUNITY CIRCLE EVENT CALENDAR FOR THIS WEEK

Its summertime and that means that Carnival season is here and this week you can have fun at the Mount Airy Four County Lions Carnival from Monday June 1st to Saturday June 6th. Featuring nightly rides, live bands, and food. General admission is free, while ride-all-night wristbands and individual tickets are available for purchase at the Mt. Airy Fire Company Activities Grounds from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

This week at American Legion Post 168 Tuesday, June 2nd Checkout Yoga from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and on Wednesday June 3rd there will be a Cornhole Tournament at 7 p.m. and a Queen of Hearts Drawing at 7:30. Thursday June 4th enjoy Bingo downstairs and Line Dancing upstairs at 7pm.

Monday June 1st Catoctin Youth Football & Cheer opens registration for Grades Kindergarten through 8th. For more information, go online to cyafootballcheer.com

Monday June 1st You can be Served With Grace at a free dinner at Graceham Moravian Church from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Friday June 5th Checkout the Yard & Food Sale with Breakfast & later for lunch Oyster Sandwiches at Graceham Moravian Church from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Friday June 5th Jacob’s Church invites you to their Pavilion for a concert featuring The Hyssongs on Harbaugh Valley Rd. in Fairfield, PA. with a free meal at 5 p.m. and the concert beginning at 6 p.m.

Saturday June 6th Catoctin High School invites you to participate in the 3rd Annual Heroes On the Run at the high school in Thurmont. The Fun Run begins at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K at 9:15 a.m. All proceeds go to benefit the Special Olympics of Frederick County.

Saturday June 6th is Furmont Days in the back yard of the Thurmont Historical Society on Church St. from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Walk your dogs on Main Street. You must have proof of a rabies vaccination and the ddgs must be leashed except in the ring when performing some contests. The Master of Ceremonies is Dr. Jon Bramson from Catoctin Veterinary Clinic.

Saturday June 6th Apples Church celebrates its 200th Anniversary, Apples Church in Thurmont from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with kids games, a magic show, face painting, a moon bounce, antique cars & much more. Richard Troxell will perform in concert at 6:30pm please bring your own lawn chairs.

Sunday June 7th Follow the delicious smell of BBQ and the smoke to the Lewistown Ruritan Chicken BBQ on northbound U.S. 15 & Fish Hatchery Rd. from 10 a.m. until they are sold out.
