COMMUNITY CIRCLE EVENT CALENDAR FOR THIS WEEK

Sunday March 1st Calvary United Methodist Church continues with their wonderful 2026 Community Concert Series. This week they feature Extreme Chopin — The Final Installment in the chapel from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Brian Ganz will perform part of his “Chopin Project” presented by the National Philharmonic Orchestra at the Strathmore. Concert pianist Brian Ganz is on a quest to perform all 250 works by Fryderyk Chopin and Calvary U M C is been honored to support this endeavor. This concert, performed on Chopin’s 216th birthday, is an interactive and highly energetic performance. The concert is free. Seating begins at 2:30 p.m.

This week at American Legion Post one hundred sixty eight Tuesday March 3rd Enjoy Yoga from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and then on Wednesday March 4 there will be a Cornhole Tournament at 7pm with a Queen of Hearts drawing at 7:30. On Thursday March 5th play Bingo at 7pm or if that’s not your thing, go upstairs and have fun Line Dancing.

This week at the Thurmont Senior Center Monday March 2nd checkout Balance & Strength at 10:15 a.m. followed by Stitch and Chat at 1pm and then on Wednesday March 4 try Chair Yoga at 10:15am followed by Bingo at 1pm. Finish the week out strong with Zumba at 9:30am.

Monday March 2nd You can be Served With Grace at a free dinner at Graceham Moravian Church from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and then at 7pm you can remain for the Thurmont Ministerium’s combined community Lenten service. For those in need, you can head over to the Community Clothes Closet at Thurmont United Methodist Church from 6 to 7:30pm for free clothing for men, women & children.

Tuesday March 3rd Checkout Old-Fashioned Bingo at the Vigilant Hose Company Activities Building on Creamery Rd. in Emmitsburg. The doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the early bird games start at 6:50 p.m.

Tuesday March 3rd There will be a Celtic Concert at Mt. Saint Mary’s Knott Arena from 7 to 9pm featuring Celtic Corridor a traditional Irish band out of Baltimore. The concert is free.

Friday March 6th Fish Fry Friday returns to St. Peters in Libertown from 5pm to 7pm The cost is $14 for adults and the dinner features gluten free options. The dinner is held in the Sullivan Room.

Saturday March 7th You are invited to an All You Can Eat buffet breakfast at Chapel Lutheran Church on Daysville Rd. in Frederick from 7 to 11am. The cost is $12 for adults and $5 for children.
