COMMUNITY CIRCLE EVENT CALENDAR FOR THIS WEEK
Monday December 15th There will be a Musical Celebration at Weller United Methodist Church in Thurmont at 9:30 a.m.
Monday December 15th you are invited to a Christmas Concert with the Golden Tones at 2pm featuring their repertoire of show tunes, popular standards, and familiar tunes that audiences remember from past years. Donations will be gratefully accepted, pre-registration recommended.
Tuesday December 16th The Community Clothes Closet at Thurmont United Methodist Church reopens from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. with free clothing for men, women & children and help with emergency needs.
Tuesday December 16th checkout the Music Makers at the Emmitsburg Branch Library from 11am to 12 noon. Learn about music theory and history through rhythmic and melodic exercises, games, and activities for kids.
Tuesday December 16th You are invited to the Sunday Drive – Smoky Mountain Christmas at Tom’s Creek United Methodist Church in Emmitsburg at 7 p.m.
Thursday December 18th Enjoy a Senior Potluck Lunch at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Sabillasville at 11:30 a.m.
Thursday December 18th Enjoy S’mores with Santa at the Utica District Park at 4pm. The cost is $35 per person. Santa is coming to town, and he’s making a special stop in Lewistown to warm up by the fire and enjoy some delicious s’mores! Grab your hat and coat, make your way to the park to say hello, share your wish list with Santa, and relax by your very own campfire. The event will feature s’mores and a hot cocoa bar to make your evening extra sweet. Advanced registration is required, maximum of 10 people per family. Space is limited.
Friday December 19th and Saturday December 20th Join the Search for the Christ Child at the Frederick Church of the Brethren from 6 to 9pm on Friday and noon to 3 and 5 to 8pm on Saturday. Step back in time and experience the wonder of the very first Christmas! Join us for this immersive, 30-minute guided journey through Biblical Bethlehem. Along the way, you’ll encounter live scenes from Scripture that bring the story of Jesus’ birth to life. Crafts and refreshments while you wait. Mobility assistance available. ASL interpreting provided. This is a 30-minute interactive tour through Biblical Bethlehem with live scenes sharing the true meaning of Christmas. The event is free and open to the public.
Sunday December 21st There will be a Christmas Cantata entitled the Breath of Heaven at Tom’s Creek United Methodist Church in Emmitsburg at 9 a.m.
Sunday December 21st Checkout the Christmas Harp Concert featuring Anna Smith & Brynn Olden at St. John’s Union Church in Creagerstown at 3 p.m. The event is free and refreshments will be served following the concert.
